· Emphasis is on using native plants, which are adapted to local conditions of soil, moisture, and seasonal temperatures, therefore requiring less water, fertilizer, and maintenance than non-native plants.
· Designs can incorporate themes to suit your needs and desires, such as butterfly, hummingbird, edible, medicinal, and children’s gardens.
· Wildlife habitat designs provide all elements necessary to create habitat for
wildlife including food, water, and shelter. Once the design is implemented,
your landscape will be eligible for certification as a “West Virginia
Wild Yard” (for WV residents), National Wildlife Federation’s
“Backyard Wildlife Habitat”, and/or Baywise
certified (for MD residents).
