Emphasis is on using native plants, which are adapted to local
conditions of soil, moisture, and seasonal temperatures, therefore
requiring less water, fertilizer, and maintenance than non-native
plants.
Designs can incorporate themes to suit your needs and desires, such
as butterfly, hummingbird, edible, medicinal, and children's
gardens.
Wildlife habitat designs provide all elements necessary to create
habitat for wildlife including food, water, and shelter. Once the
design is implemented, your landscape will be eligible for
certification as a West Virginia Wild Yard (for WV residents),
National Wildlife Federations Backyard Wildlife Habitat, and/or
Baywise certified (for MD residents).
